Howdy! We are Label. Actually, to be more precise; we’re three young entrepreneurs with passion for a product we believe will change the professional and personal communication landscape as we know it.

The team

The team consists of Arent Orri Jónsson, Ásþór Björnsson and Hannes Árni Hannesson. We are 19 and 20 years old, as our humour suggests.
Arent studies law at the University of Iceland and Ásþór is a computer science student at the University of Copenhagen. Hannes is a developer at a known Icelandic company. Despite contradictory paths in choice of academics, their enthusiasm harmonizes when it comes to using technology to improve human communications.

How?

Every day, the world is increasingly relying on digital solutions for its everyday problems. The digital world and human connections are becoming completely separate phenomena, undeniably at the cost of the latter.

Our goal is to put personal communication first and while we’re at it, make them more efficient and environmentally friendly. Our solution unites human touch and digital solutions when making both personal and professional connections. After all, we are all human.

Our smartcards are the solution. In the blink of an eye, you can exchange information with whoever you want to, with ease. The cards are personal and custom-made for each user, but in that way your network won’t just be names on a screen and cheesy emails. Your network will be real, personal and efficient.

Usage

Excelsior. Yes, in that short time it took you to read the word excelsior you could have used your smartcard at least twice. It’s not complicated, the only thing you have to do is put the card next to a phone. It’s really that simple.

On our website you can custom-design your own card exactly how you would like it. Of course, we’ll help by offering some standard designs, but there’s nothing but your own imagination stopping you from making it exactly as you want it.

After you’ve designed your card you get to use your creativity one more time when you make your own site, which pops up when a phone reads your card. On your page you can put almost anything you want, social media, email, website, video; whatever you can think of!

Now that your card and site are ready, we’ll send you your card within a few days and voilà, you’re ready to go!

Next steps

The brainstorming process is over, market research, requirements research, user tests and prototyping of the cards is finished. We finally have a final product, ready for usage, and we have registered our company.

To get the product to market we need financial support. If we achieve our goals on Karolina Fund, we will invest in production equipment, such as a card printer. Additionally, a part of the money raised would go into marketing and the creation of our website. Blood, sweat and tears have gone into our work on Label, and we are eager to continue, but to do that, we need support to get started.
