Welcome to my crowdfunding site!

I've had a dream for quite some time now to publish a CD with my favorite Christmas music. Since I'm celebrating my 50th birthday on 1st of September and Christmas bells will start ringing sooner than you think, I've decided to a let it happen.

My family published a CD in 2001 Hittumst heil to commemorate my father's songs. At the time we used a similar approach, asking friends and relatives to pre-buy the CD. It enabled us finance the first steps of the process and confirmed our hope that the CD would be well received.

It would mean a lot to me if you would be able to contribute to my new project, Stjörnubjart (Star bright). That would be the best birthday present ever!

The music on Stjörnubjart is quiet and warm with the melody and the voice intertwined. The instruments in some cases unusual also color the atmosphere. The mood is crystal clear, intimate, personal, and timeless.

The style is partly folkloristic and partly Nordic with ties to the old times.

Most of the songs are cover songs, however 1 or 2 are original songs specially written for Stjörnubjart. The songs arrive from all over. We have folksongs, Icelandic pearls, hymns, Mahler and Sibelius will contribute as well as Swedish composers such as Moraeus and the two "B's" in ABBA.
