Further Information

About the book

Stína and Steinn are going to bed in their room. Mum and dad have already read them stories and kissed them goodnight, but they do not want them to leave.
"What are you going to do?" they ask. "Oh, nothing special, mom and dad reply, we are just going to do some grown-up stuff. Stuff that mum's and dad's do after the children are in bed."
But Steinn and Stína cannot fall asleep. They lay in their beds and wonder what things their parents might possible do...

Heiðrún Ólafsdóttir - Author

Heiðrún Ólafsdóttir has previously published poetry and literature for adults and her translations of Greenlandic contemporary novels have been well received in Iceland. This is her first (but hopefully not last) children's book.

Linda Loeskow - Illustration & design

Linda Loeskow is an awarded graphic designer and illustrator in Iceland and have also worked with animated illustrations and graphics for TV and movies. Linda recently gave birth to her first child and finished treatment for breastcancer and this is her first work after a long break.

The collaboration

Heiðrún and Linda met while working in the highlands of Iceland as wardens. They appreciated each other immediately, while finding lost hikers and repairing boots together etc.
