Arctic Pies was founded by three Australian/Icelanders in 2020 who craved the goodness that was a meat pie. What started in Vesturbær has grown into a multi-faceted business supplying home deliveries, catering and after the summer, to supermarkets. We have been bootstrapping from the get go and it has been a trial by fire ( sometimes literally). After humble beginnings and learning the tricks of the trade, the great Australian meat pie is now available at the push of a button, possibly the reason this company was started in the first place. Iceland finally has pies!

One of our biggest dreams has always been to have a foodtruck. We want pies on wheels! Having participated since 2022 in the Icelandic Street Food Festival and other events, we know the value of our pies as street food. We even won first prize for our dessert pies in 2024!
This is where you come in....all we are asking is that you buy some pies off us now, and we will give them to you, at a discounted price! That's all you have to do. Our job is to persuade enough people to preorder pies that we can start our food truck without debt and be able to keep our prices at a sustainably unIcelandic level!

The truck has been ordered, brand-new, state of the art and ready to decorate, with the help of our graffiti artist designer mate Arnór Kári #Andartak. He will put the finishing touches on it, creating fun characters and bringing elements of Iceland and Australia together to ensure the foodtruck is as awesome as the food it sells. We want the community to be included of this process, and are offering the opportunity for everyone to be apart of the journey.

Sure, our pies are inspired by Australia, but we want to cater to as many people as possible. We make meat pies, veggie/vegan pies and also dessert pies. We love experimenting with flavours from around the globe and will always continue to search for inspiration from our travels and experiences.

After four years of baking pies in all manner of pop up markets we have seen that pies in Iceland make a whole lot of sense. There is a culture for it here that deserves to be nourished.
We know what we need in order to be able to deliver pies to the people. That is what we have ordered and what Iceland shall have!

Arctic Pies is based in Eldstæðið in Kopavogur, a shared space kitchen nurturing Icelandic food producing entrepreneurs. We have been extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful space to grow our business and appreciate Eva, the owner, for creating it.
FYI, Eldstæðið was also a Karolina Fund project. So it goes to show that great things are built through teamwork.
