Further Information

About me

I was born and raised in Iceland and moved to Oklahoma and later Texas, when I was 16. I lived in Texas until my late 20's and the Texas years have always had a big influence on who I am as a person. During my years in Texas I learned to appreciate country music and the culture that comes with it. That interest kept on growing even after I moved back to my native Iceland. I have always considered myself to be a product of both cultures, and I identify strongly with both.

My father is a piano and bass player and I was exposed to playing and performing music at an early age. But is was not until 2010 that I fully started my musical career. Since then I have released 32 songs, 27 of which are originals. The inspiration for my music has come both from the Texas culture to which I have always considered myself a part of, and from my native Iceland. I have always found inspiration is merging the two, as there are so many similarities when you look close enough.

The new album - Texas Town

I chose Texas as a theme for my next project.

Album is called Texas Town, after the title track, which is about the resilience of the people of Texas to react to any hardships they may endure and invent a new and better future. The inspiration for this song came when I was on a radio tour in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas in 2021 following up my single Here I Wanna Live (which I wrote with Milo and Amy). As I crossed the Red River from Oklahoma into West Texas I was touched by the beauty of the endless plains with cotton fields as far as the eye could see. As I drove further into West Texas I was surprised to see the endless Wind Turbines on the horizon. During my visit to the local radio stations, I learned how the cotton farmers had found a new modern way to live off their land. They had switched from cotton farming to creating green energy for Texas. This inspired the lyrics to Texas Town. I was inspired to see how the people of the area had found a new way forward into the future, "You can't keep 'em down, not a little ol' Texas Town".

The album will contain new songs written by me, as well as co-writes and collaborations with Songwriters Amy Barnett, Kris Rogge Fisher, and Milo Deering. I have worked with them in recent years on several singles, and the four of us co-wrote the latest Axel O single, Montgomery County Moonshine.

The new Texas Town Album will be recorded at the Acoustic Kitchen Studio in Dallas. I have been blessed to be able to work with some of the best musicians in the business. Again I will be joined by a select crew of master musicians, my good friend and multi-instrumentalist Milo Deering, guitar player John Carroll, drummer Nate Coon, and bass legend Johann Asmundsson.

I will also be joined by a special guest singer on this album, the awesome Kinsey Rose from Nashville. I met Kinsey when we were both performing at a Music Festival in Denmark in 2022. Kinsey and I will sing some selected country classics as duets on the new Album.

I sure would appreciate it if you could see your way in helping us out by accepting one of the offers on the site. Thanks for the support !
