Why Band-Up?

Many musicians have complained about how hard it is to form a band or simply find people to jam with. Arngrímur, the company's CEO, had personally spent over two years trying to find the right artists for a project he had in mind with very little success. We at Bad Melody decided to solve this problem so that great musical talent wouldn't be wasted.

How does it work?

Band-Up is basically a social networking app, it makes the process of finding the right musician for your project a lot easier. Once you sign up you are presented with profiles of other users that have similar musical interests as you. Users can contact each other through the app and even upload audio examples from their work.

Is it only for musicians?

We want everybody to use Band-Up. We want Band-Up to encourage anybody to create and share music with the world. Even if you have no musical experience, we encourage you to at least try out your skills. Who knows, maybe you're 1/4th of the next Beatles?

Who are we?

We are Bad Melody. A brand new company that focuses on making musical culture blossom even more. The project started after our success in the 2016 Junior Achievement program in Iceland, where our project made it into finals. Since then we have kept developing the project further and made it even better. We expect Band-Up to launch this December.
The whole team has all sorts of music experience, for example Arngrímur's band won the 2016 Music Experiments, voted as "the band of the people".
