SPEKTRUM is a photography exhibition by Bergdís Guðnadóttir.
She has always been captivated by the sky and the work reflects that passion. The images capture the everchanging forms and colors of the sky.

The exhibition will be held in HERMA, Hverfisgata 4, 2. - 9. November.

Since my teenage years I have always had a camera in hand and a deep need to capture the moments which so quickly pass by. I never considered photography as a possible career until I started studying at Ljósmyndaskólinn (art photography school) in 2018. My time there, until I graduated in January 2021, had a profound effect on me. I grew in many ways, and as a photographer I learned to define myself and find my way.

Since I finished my studies I have mainly focused on capturing people and places on film, but for the past year I have pointed my camera up to the vast sky. I find it fascinating that it is ever present and ever changing.

SPEKTRUM will show what this exploration of the sky has brought. The exhibition will consist of various images in many sizes, framed with artist glass as well as printed on steel. This will provide a unique experience of the sky for viewers.
