Have you ever been an "awful person"?

Have you ever been so completely lost, you couldn't find any more reasons to go on?
Have you ever been hurting so much, you couldn't face another soul?
Have you ever been screaming so loud inside of your head, you lost your voice and became just quiet?

Have you ever been so deeply, heart wrenchingly sad, that all you wanted to do was save your loved ones from the "awful person" that you were - and just disappear?

Then maybe this short film is for you.

Director's Statement

When times are hard, it seems easy to give up, but there is always something worth going on for - even if it is to help a stranger who pushed everybody away, when all they really need is somebody to push back. Somebody to care.

Because the thing is: none of us are alone, even when it feels like we are.

So in the end of the day, all that really matters is that we treat each other with understanding and kindness instead of judgement. You never know what the next person you come across is going through. Maybe they have been abandoned. Maybe their own personal world just ended. Maybe they are just having a very bad day. Maybe things have been so bad, they are out of solutions and are about to throw their life away.

A smile, some kind words, compassion go a long way. And sometimes a cheap hot chocolate can maybe not fix everything, but feel like a safe soft place, a home, a space for a calm in the raging storm.
