Further Information

The fun and flare trio is planning a Europe tour and you can help us make our travelling show pony dreams come true!

Three cabaret friends and collaborators plan to blow minds and maybe other body parts around Europe.Wilfredo A-Go-Go is a travelling variety show that highlights the feel of New York and Reykjavík’s variety scenes. Performers areMargrét Erla Maack (Miss Mokki), Matt Roper (Wilfredo), Sigurður Starr (Gógó Starr).

The show is a modern twist on the golden age of variety, where grotesque humor meets sexy comedy. Comedy star of New York's downtown variety scene, the unstoppable Wilfredo ("Weird, intimate and wonderful" — the Guardian) hits town to present an all-star international spectacular. Accompanied by the mesmerizing Miss Mokki (The Undisputed First Lady of Icelandic Burlesque) and the fabulous Gógó Starr (Reykjavík's Forever Queen of the Drag Scene), it's an outrageous and entertaining hour with the heart of a circus and the soul of a showgirl.

There is plenty of great rewards for our sponsors. We have workshops (in Reykjavík), you can buy tickets for all the shows in presale, you can be a part of the special video club society, you can get acts of entertainment for your party, and also, send us money without getting any rewards simply because you are a nice person.

MISS MOKKI

"The Undisputed First Lady of Icelandic Burlesque," Margrét Erla Maack or Miss Mokki is an Icelandic entertainer and media personality. After living and performing in New York in 2007 she is a pioneer in Icelandic burlesque and the country's only full time burlesque performer.

She is the founder of Reykjavík Kabarett, Iceland's first burlesque show that has sold out every single show since their premiere in 2016. She is a regular performer at The Slipper Room in New York. She has also performed at The House of Yes in New York, Riding Room in Glasgow, Melt Bar in Stockholm, with Tähtisumu in Helsinki, Kellerdirk and with Kabarett Kopenhagen in Byen's Lys in Copenhagen; Juliette's, The Conservatory and Pink Door in Seattle. She has toured Iceland multiple times with The Icelandic Circus and her own production Búkalú, been on two tours around the USA and two Europe tours. WILFREDO

A British-born, Brooklyn-based creature of the night, Matt Roper is an acclaimed performer and a staple of NYC's downtown variety scene. His diverse career has led him from the muddy fields of the Glastonbury Festival to the damp back-rooms of the Edinburgh Fringe, and from the cafés ofCentral Europe to Lincoln Center and beyond.

Under the guise of his alter-ego Wilfredo—a grotesque, deluded but loveable charmer—he has thrilled, adored and terrified audiences around the world. Instantly recognizable with his high-waisted trousers, tight shirt and a singing voice to die for, this powerhouse comedy creation has brought him international renown.

Roper is a regular collaborator with the performance collective Visceral Abstractions, whose surrealist circus spectacular Sex Ed sold out the celebrated Brooklyn nightclub the House of Yes for two limited seasons. He is also known for his work with the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, The Coney Island Circus Sideshow, The Secret Variety Society, and for his late
night appearances at the infamous Slipper Room in Manhattan's Lower East Side.
