Most of my adult years have been about discovering, create new ventures, and taking risks, in short, to be an entrepreneur. I started early, being a promoter and hosting rave parties before holding various jobs such as a radio DJ, a fisherman, and a construction worker.
I got back into the entertainment business by promoting multiple artists such as Coldplay, Fugees, Rammstein, Foo Fighters, and many others from 1997 to 2004. I launched a TV station in Sweden in 2004 and then moved to Miami in 2007 and raised $10 million to build the first energy-efficient luxury home on South Beach. On my return to Iceland in 2011, I went back to being a promoter and launched the Sonar music festival in Iceland and then in Stockholm and Copenhagen and ran that business until 2016. Since 2017 I have been in content creation and marketing consultant for various companies in tourism in Iceland and abroad.
A few years back, I decided to seek more clarity, a simpler life, and more tranquillity in mind and body. Following that change, I found myself in the position to need drone material, so I just bought a drone and started experimenting. In 2021 the hard work paid off when my videos from the volcano eruption in Iceland went viral. More than 250 million people have seen my work, including more than 20 million on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram.
?How little did I know this experience would change my life!
?The following companies are just some of those that have acquired my services and content:
CBS - 60 Minutes, BBC Earth, Toyota Iceland, ITV, Channel Five UK, The Independent, The Sun, NBC News, Daily Mail, The Sun, Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Inspired By Iceland, Icelandair and Hertz.
The eruption in Geldingadalir at Fagradalsfjall, just some 30km from Reykjavik has been a sublime experience for those that have made the hike, especially in the early days of the eruption when one could simply walk up to the crater and have a small picnic.
I sincerely hope you can support this project. It would mean the world to me because I want to keep creating to inspire others to dream and make those dreams a reality!
