Further Information

Barnabókin

Ævintýri í Bulllandi.

Sindri býr í Laugardalnum. Honum leiðist því að í fleiri vikur hefur hann þurft að vera mikið heima fyrir.

T.d. vegna kóronu veiru.

Einn daginn kynnist hann Sunnu vinkonu sinni.

Sindri lives in Laugardalur, Reykjavík. He's bored because he's had to stay at home for many weeks.
Due to the Corona Virus.
One day he meets a girl called Sunna, and she becomes his friend.
While out walking they spot a rainbow path, and what do you know, at the other end of the rainbow they find the Farm Animals Park. This park has lots of interesting animals.
They lose track of time in the park as they meet all kinds of amusing animals such as the butterfly kittens, the black and white piglet and the choir of 7 little mice. There are also 2 fun loving bunny rabbits, Rabbit Tubb the chief baker and Baker Dubb who bakes cakes for children.
What I, the author, hope to achieve with this children's book is a healthy, positive and uplifting message for children.
I hope with this book that young children (and adults) use their own imagination and ideas.
It's fun to talk nonsense, it's healthy and good for everyone.
Sindri and Sunna are equals and friends. They are both intelligent, funny and responsible. They return home before their parents start to worry.
Several important factors that this book includes: equal rights, irrespective of colour, size or class.
Gender equality, empowerment, self confidence, self evaluation.
The importance of culture, nature and animal life.
Humour, happiness, neighbourly friendship and variety.
A reminder about the unprecedented Covic pandemic and the need of children and adults for a sanctuary.
The importance of children, childhood and friendship.
Children's rights for freedom and to play.
Children's pact.
Children's advocates include Ms Vigdís Finnbogadóttir.
A few words about the author:
A single parent of two boys.
A supporter of justice and rights.
Artist, art lover, and a nonsenser.
A children's advocate, a grown up child of the system, and a victim of violence during her childhood.
*All children have a right to be protected.* Stop violence.
Thank you for your support.
The author promises an enjoyable time with this book.
