Fundraising for Iceland Family Aid

When the world tests us and unity is important to all of is, Iceland Family Aid assists those in need of food in these trying times. Last week Iceland Family Aid executed the largest operation in food donations in recent history.

Last week, food donations were delivered to around 570 homes with the assistance of Landsbjörg. It is clear that the current situation will continue for some time and we will do our best to meet this group's need in some way, while still adhering to the current ban on group gatherings and following the advice of the chief epidemiologist.

The guys from FM95Blö have joined forces with Iceland Family Aid, and Auddi has agreed to not shave a hair off his head for a month if more than 1 million ISK gets raised to fund these food donations.

Iceland Family Aid was founded in 2003 and has therefore been in operation for 17 years. Hundreds of individuals and families count on the monthly food donations due to poverty, including the disabled, elderly, single parents and low-income workers.
Iceland Family Aid's main fundraising methods are donations from the public and companies, the Íslandsforeldrar (Iceland Parents) project where people sign up to donate a fixed amount every month, and fundraising markets that sell products at an affordable price.
Iceland Family Aid has 2 bases of operations, at Iðufell 14, Reykjavík and Baldursgata 14, Reykjanesbær. The organization has around 50 volunteers.
