I have wanted to share our story for a long time, but never really seen it happen and that it would come true but I always kept dreaming and I didn't give up hope.To write her story is so difficult, it is painful to relive all the pain,defeat and injustice that we had to endure. But for a long time we had to fight the Icelandic health care system, the doctors and authorities for fundamental human rights for Ella Dis. With this fundraising project, by Karolina fund, I hope to be able to print 1.000 copies of our story that I know that many Icelandic people know so well and are interested to read, as we had a popular blog on visir.is for many years and a lot of media coverage. As I managed to help Ella and travelled with her around the world in search of a doctor who could possibly help find the answer to Ella's illness, and why a perfect healthy little girl got sick so fast and so badly.
