Zombie Island

Zombie Island is a full-length independent feature film targeted both at the horror film market and the youth market. The film tells the story of a man, with no memory of who he is, that stumbles into a virus epidemic on a seemingly remote island. The film combines the well known zombie genre with drama and action. The undertone is politically polemic and questions the social structure in these times we live in. The films characters generally speak English (80%) and an insignificant amount of dialogue is in Icelandic (20%).

Synopsis

Zombie Island is a horror inspired by the dark and disturbing worlds of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and 28 DAYS LATER. Set in the Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland, it is the story of THE HUNTER, who is ridden with memory loss. The Hunter is a four dimensional character divided between Jason Bourne (Bourne Identity), Batman’s father (Batman Begins) Peter Gibbons (Office Space) and Dr. Grant (Jurassic Park). As he travels deeper into the virus-infested towns, in a total electrical blackout, he gathers a group of survivors and together they try to find out the cause for the outbreak and a way of the island. As the group grows larger the theories for the outbreak grow stranger until all is revealed in the end when The Hunters memory returns.
