Dennis Deter

I am a Berlin-born and Berlin-based choreographer, performer and musician. I studied philosophy and literature at the Freie Universität Berlin where I spend most of the time thinking about football as an imrovisational performance event. As a maker, I am interested in fictional and real bodies in space, as well as an adaptation of methods of live-animation, movie-techniques and concerts for a theatre stage.
I have worked with artists like Gui Garrido, Begüm Erciyas and The White Horse Collective. Since 2003 I collaborate with Anja Müller. Our duet Interpassive Paradise recently won the 100 Grad Festival Jury Award in Berlin.
In the last summers, I spent my time, proudly playing and travelling as a member of the nomadic band-collective John The Houseband.
