Jana Arnarsdóttir

I am a producer living in Iceland. I have been working as a producer and Assistant Director in Mara, a movie made by 23frames. This is my first full-feature film. I have been told that for a 20year old i havr an incredible leadership personality and a very determined character, But after all that is what got me into directing and producing in the Icelandic Film Academy.

Regardless of my age I have proven myself a valuble member of the production team for going the extra mile which is crucial for success. I know how to run a set with completion as a goal and will not hesitate to take on any task no matter how big.

I have been in arts all my life, I've practised and competed in balllroom and latin dances. I've been in theaters since I can remember and took classes in acting in my local theater on Akureyri. But I've also been backstage as a stage manager, assistant director, make up artist, and many more. I also have a background of singing, mostly in plays but also in local competitions.

I've also written short stories and poems that have been published by magazines and some short plays for my school productions. I've not only been part of the creative part of the arts but also the technical, starting young to make mini home movies about my family and schooltrips. I took a course in lighting and sound for theater and movies through my youth center.
