Albert Elías Arason

ALBERT ELÍAS ARASON er 15 ára og hefur spilað á bassa í 6 ár. Hann býr á Völlunum í Hafnarfirði og gengur í Hraunavallaskóla. Hann stofnaði hljómsveitina Meistarar Dauðans ásamt vinum sínum Ásþóri Loka og Þórarni Þey. Hann er elstur í fjögurra systkina hópi og kemur úr músíkalskri fjölskyldu, en afi hans er organisti, pabbi hans bassaleikari og á yngri bróður sem spilar á píanó.

Tónlistarnám

Albert sótti einkatíma í bassaleik fljótlega eftir að hann byrjaði að æfa sig á hljóðfærið 2009 og sótti nám í einn vetur. Hann stefnir á inngöngu í Tónlistarskóla FÍH að læra rafbassaleik haustið 2015.

Tónsmíðar og áhrif

Albert er virkur í tónsmíðunum í hljómsveitinni og hlustar mikið á tónlist. Af erlendri tónlist hlustar hann helst á Iron Maiden, Metallica og Led Zeppelin og af íslenskum hljómsveitum er Dimma í mestu uppáhaldi.

Áhugamál

Fyrir utan tónlist og skóla hefur Albert lagt stund á skylmingar og klifur. Albert er tölvuáhugamaður og eins og aðrir hljómsveitarmeðlimir hefur hann einnig mikinn áhuga á spunaspilum. Það hefur komið sér vel en hljómsveitin tvinnar saman æfingum og spunaspilun oft í nokkra daga í senn.

Albert Elías Arason

ALBERT ELÍAS ARASON is 15 years and has been playing the base for 6 years. He lives in the Vellir in Hafnarfjörður and goes to the school Hraunavallaskóli. He founded the band Meistarar Dauðans with his friends Ásþór Loki and Þórarinn Þeyr. He is the oldest of four siblings and comes from a very musical family, for example his grandfather is an organist, his father plays the base and his younger brother the piano.

Music studies

Albert had private lessons in base playing for one winter soon after he started practising the instrument in 2009. He will resume studies in the autumn of 2015 electrical base playing.

Song writing and influences

Albert is an active songwriter in the band and listens to music a lot. Among foreign music he likes bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica and Led Zeppelin and of the Icelandic ones Dimma is his favourite.

Here Albert is with Billy Sheehan, one of the greatest rock base players in the world at a lecture he had in Reykjavík about bases, equipment and, of course, base playing.

Other interests

Besides music and school, Albert has practised fencing and climbing. He is a great computer enthusiast and, like other band members, greatly interested in role playing games and they frequently interweave band practises with role playing, often for few days at a time.
