Árni Kristjánsson

Árni Kristjánsson hefur starfað að skapandi verkefnum í yfir tuttugu ár og er baráttumaður fyrir samfélagsbreytingum og velferð ungs fólks. Hann útskrifaðist frá Listaháskóla Íslands árið 2008 og lauk kennsluréttindum árið 2009. Í gegnum árin hefur Árni kennt leiklist í grunnskólum, framhaldsskólum og við Sviðslistadeild Listaháskóla Íslands. Hann hefur einnig starfað sem dagskrárgerðarmaður fyrir Rás 1. Árni hefur skrifað og leikstýrt leikritum og óperuhandritum og er með meistaragráðu í leikstjórn og D-vottorð í verkefnastjórnun. Undanfarin fimm ár hefur hann skipulagt aðgerðastarf ungs fólks hjá Íslandsdeild Amnesty International, þar sem hann sameinar listræna sýn sína við skuldbindingu við mannréttindi og samfélagsleg áhrif.

Árni Kristjánsson is a creative professional with over twenty years of experience and is passionate about social change and the well-being of young people. He graduated from the Icelandic University of the Arts in 2008 and completed his teaching license in 2009. Over the years, Árni has taught drama in primary and secondary schools and at the Department of Performing Arts at the Iceland University of the Arts. He has also worked as a radio program maker for Rás 1. Árni has written and directed plays and librettos and has a master's degree in directing and a D-certificate in project management. For the past five years, he has organized youth action work for the Icelandic chapter of Amnesty International, where he combines his artistic vision with a commitment to human rights and social impact.
