"KARÍTAS released her debut EP “Songs 4 Crying” in late 2019. The dark pop / experimental electronic soundscape produced by Dadykewl frames in Karítas’s songwriting about the sinking feeling of unrequited love and the sensation of wanting. This melancholic love-vibe can also be heard in her new single “Shame” which was released in the beginning of April 2020 and is the first single off her upcoming LP, which is scheduled to be released in the beginning of 2021. Starting off her music career as a DJ in 2015, she then joined forces with Reykjavíkurdætur in early 2018 and quickly also became a singer/rapper in the group. That collaboration ignited her determination to pursue a career in music, resulting in the solo project that has grasped ears and attention in the Icelandic music scene."

The LP will be 10-12 tracks and I'm looking to release it in early 2021.
The creative process started in the beginning of January 2020 and the project is now in the recording- and post processing phase which is incredibly fun but can also be quite expensive. To release the album sooner I turned to Karolinafund to speed up the process. I can't wait to share all the new music with you that myself and a few others have been working on for the last few months.
