Sverrir Gudjonsson has been performing from a young age. As a counter-tenor he studied in London and has premiered numerous works written for his voice, as well as concentrating on baroque, contemporary music and operas, medieval and early music. On "Rökkursöngvar/Twilight Songs", Sverrir also performs “The Cradle Song” as a twelve years old boy soprano, from a popular recording, which creates the beginning and the end of this journey.

"Epitaph" was published internationally by OpusIII/Naive in Paris and a critic's chose in Gramophone Magazine (2000). First edition sold out and for a while it was possible to buy a copy for 700 US dollars on Amazon. It took a few years to get the copy right back by help of a music-lawyer in Paris, which made it possible to publish 2nd edition of "Epitaph" in 2011. Now, the few copies left will be a part of one of the offers of "Twilight Songs".

'My Cup of Tea' is connected to my interest in herbs related to health and taste, which started during my years of music study in London. Before the chef René Redzepi created his famous restaurant NOMA in Copenhagen, he stayed by coincidence, in our house in Reykjavik, looking for artistic ideas in Iceland. Of course I offered him 'My Cup of Tea' and he asked me where it came from and that he wanted the mix for drinking and food making at NOMA. I said: "I am not giving you my secret recipe". This resulted in my design for the package and for the beginning years of NOMA, my music in a tea cup was flying between Iceland and Denmark. René Redzepi won the first international competition 'Food for Fun' in Reykjavik, with 'Sverri's Tea' in his dessert, which resulted in me mixing herbs for some of the leading restaurants in Reykjavik.

"Walking on Sound" is a co-operation with the legendary Japanese artist Stomu Yamash'ta and the film director Jacques Debs, whom I have been working with on different film projects, through the last 12 years. The filming took place in Iceland, Japan and the 'show' performance at the historical Saint Eustache in Paris, with the fantastic Syrian singer Noma and the Zen Masters from Kyoto, taking part in the performance.
