The Bench – a diary from the Golden Circle gives an insiders view of how the Icelandic tourist boom peaked in Iceland. Seventy-six photos document the ever-changing weather in a twelve months period while the text describes a diverse group of international visitors as well as a man on crossroads - caught in a gold-rush without an end.

Christmas Eve 24/12/2018 * (Exerpt)

I am lying naked on the bed of room number 447 in Hotel Selfoss at quarter to six on Christmas eve. It was a mistake not to bring some nicer clothes. I've got one pair of trousers and no jacket. Leif Otto has called twice, he can’t understand why his dad is working in the holidays. *

This book contains …

… 164 pages with 76 photographs in a limited hardcover edition of 300 prints in A5 size. The printing cost alone is approximately 4000 euros and the author intends to break even before Christmas. A book event and photo exhibition opening will take place in November in "The Heart Of Reykjavik" a gallery/giftshop on Laugavegur 30, the main shopping and culture street of Reykjavík, Iceland.
