Further Information

Ugh & Boogar (The trolls) are launching a perfume. Collaborating with perfume maker Geza Schön, author of Molecules 01, we are expecting an interesting outcome. And no, it will not smell like a troll, since… shhhh…. Geza is human and will have the final word….. no worries. BUT, it will make you have troll properties… and that means A LOT OF MAGNETISM.

We need a bit of your support to make their dream come true.

The perfume is part of the Icelandic Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale with Icelandic artist Egill Sæbjörnsson overviewing it.

Geza Schön is a renowed rebel of the perfume world. His most famous perfume, Escentric Molecule 01, has revolutionized the world of perfume and created chaos in bars and streets around the world. Alongside being a fine perfume maker he has also worked with other artists and is perhaps enough to name the great Norwegian artist Sissel Tolaas.

Egill Sæbjörnsson is an Icelandic artist working in the field of video installation, performance, music and technology. In 2017 he will present the Icelandic Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia - 57th International Art Exhibition

Ugh & Boogar, are working on the perfume with Geza. They are trolls. They don't have a passport or an ID card so no one knows how old they are or where they come from. As Icelandic trolls are known for they have, throughout the centuries, collected badly behaving children and eaten them in their cave, in the highlands of Iceland. Recently they have also started eating tourists. Since Icelanders are generally so badly behaving, the trolls have eaten so many that they almost died out in 1850. Therefor there are still very few Icelanders in the world. In 2008 they got to know Egill, and they were going to eat him, since he is a bad behaving artist. But since they liked his music and his art they decided to become his friends. Later, they started copying him, and wanted to become artists. Egill decided to hand the task of presenting Iceland at the pavilion over to them

Stefanie Böttcher was asked to help leading the project with the trolls. She is a curator and a museum director from Kunsthalle Mainz in Germany. It looks like she is able to control the trolls so we should be safe in Venice this summer.

If you wear the troll perfume, Ugh and Boogar are less likely to smell you. They see very badly so they rely mostly on smell and that's how they catch people. So, if you have ever done something bad, you better wear Out of Controll to protect you from the trolls.
