Further Information

Elsku Borga mín is a thirty minute long composition the author prefers to refer to as a voicescape. It is is for eight voices, with the singers placed in the room in such a way that the movement of sounds in the space may be used as a material. For the piece to be fully expressed on recording it is best recorded in surround. This is why we intend to do two different mixes of it, a normal stereo mix and a mix for a 5.1 system.

Those who purchase the recording will have access to the videowork by Jeannette Castioni in full quality.

The works (sound and video) will be accompanied by different articles in Icelandic which further illuminate the contents, as well as some images and excerpts of the score. This is why the title of the project is not simply the name of the composition: The collection will bare the name Weather report from Asgard...not referring to the mythological Asgard but the farm where the texts of the composition were written as letters.

On that website you can also listen to excerpts from a live recording of the piece (in Audio Booth).
