What do we know? We will never know what brought us here, or why the universe came to be, but we do know that love is all that counts. So, all we can do is march into the light, hand in hand. Jane Telephonda's debut album deals with those big questions and the answers we will never know.

Further Information

Transmuted Saltness on Your Tongue

Jane Telephonda is firmly rooted in the quiet suburban surroundings of Kopavogur City, Reykjavik's neighboring township. Founded by wife and husband Asdis Rosa and Ivar Jonsson, Jane Telephonda had its first release in October 2015, the video of which featured the world renowned Academy Award nominated director Fridrik Thor Fridriksson.

Into the Light We Go

JT's next single came in the spring of 2016. Filmed at the beautiful and ethereal Krísuvíkurberg at the south coast of Iceland, the video was shot on January 10th, the day David Bowie died. The song was engineered and co-produced by Stefan Orn Gunnlaugsson, who produced Ivar's concept album Revolution in the Elbow, which was nominated to the Icelandic Music Awards in 2014.

The Animals Come to Play

In the summer of 2016, Asdis and Ivar were joined by six new members, making Jane Telephonda a full-fledged band. Albert Thorbergsson, Gretar Olafsson, Holmsteinn Halldorsson, Julius Thordarson (Asdis's brother), Petur Sigurdsson and Rafn Johannesson lent their musicianship to the cause of spreading the message of love and good music to the world.

In the fall of 2016, rehearsals started for the recording of Into the Light We Go LP, slated for release in February 2016, containing 8 new songs, in addition to the two already recorded.
