A member of ship crew finds a refugee on board
I am a student in the Icelandic film School preparing the production for my graduation film.
We are on a ship out in the Atlantic Ocean. An Icelandic fishing company has just purchased a boat from Greece and they are now sailing the boat to an Icelandic harbour. The Ship is not far away from the shore of Iceland when Bjartur, a 22 year old Icelandic boy, stumbles onto a refugee who has smuggled himself on the boat.
Due to my own ambition I want to make this film unique and shoot it on a 16mm film. Not so long ago I purchased a 16mm camera and all of the equipment included to make this dream of mine come true, to shoot a short on 16mm film.
Therein lies the financial problem, film stock is not a cheap way to make a short film but there is nothing that compares to the texture of film.
I decided to try to get funded by the public, friends and family to help me out in making this a reality.
Thanks in advance
