Funding the DVD production

Now that the documentary production is done we are in need of funds to produce 1,000 copies of the film on DVD, which is the next step in the film process.
Having come this far, and as is the case with many small film producers, we are looking for help in securing the last few kronur to get the documentary on DVD. We have solicited offers from manufacturers to produce 1,000 copies in recycled paper covers and hope to get those produced by April 20, 2016 at the latest, or in time for the first showing, which will be held in Háskólabíó (cinema) here in Reykjavik. There is no entrance fee so if you are in Reykjavik that day please join us. The show starts at 15.00 hours.

Who we are

PRODUCERS
Magnús B. Jóhannesson and Sigurður E. Jóhannesson.
Brothers MJ and SJ are the beating heart of BROS Productions. Being in many ways polar opposites, while in others much alike, the brothers make a formidable team.

Magnus, trained in international business and economics, has a wealth of managerial experience, especially within the renewable energy sector. With his steely approach and unrelenting work ethic, Magnus is the team’s managerial powerhouse.

Sigurður, trained in the arts and natural sciences, draws from rich experiences in theatre, music and scientific research. With his artistic sensibilities and academic approach, Sigurður is the team’s main creative force.

Is it possible to live sustainably?

In a world where natural resources are being consumed at an excelerating rate - and to the point where nature can no longer keep up – Siggi wants to live a sustainable life.


But if earth’s resources are split evenly between all, what each of us gets is not very much.


Is it possible to live of such “meagre” fare? Is it possible to live sustainably in a Western society?


In the documentary The Man Who Shrunk – His Ecological Footprint, we follow Siggi as he battles with living a sustainable life in a world based on consumption.
