“Milk Teeth” is set in 1980s Iceland and follows a group of seven-year-old girls on a week-long camping trip with their teacher, Maria. The girls soon find themselves alone when their teacher doesn't wake up after first night. They must learn to survive in the wilderness, find food, and cope with the loss of their teacher. As the girls navigate their new reality, the film blends elements of a coming-of-age story with horror, suspense, and magic realism, capturing the complex tones of childhood.

"Dientes de leche" (Milk Teeth) is a story born from my desire to portray two elements I've been passionate about since starting my career: childhood and Iceland. Iceland is a very special country to me. If I could describe what I feel, I'd say I have a spiritual relationship with the country.
That's why I decided to migrate from my native South America to the other side of the world, to pursue a dream that became a reality. My intention is to portray this country and its culture from both an external and an internal perspective.
As a foreigner, it's difficult to establish oneself in another country's film industry. My goal is to fuse my native country with the new stimuli and discoveries of my adventure in Iceland. With this short film, I aim to enter the Icelandic industry so I can continue my career internationally (though always linking it with Argentina and my South American collaborators).
"Dientes de leche" refers to a very special stage of childhood: when teeth begin to fall out to be replaced by new ones, an analogy for the progressive loss of childhood and innocence. It's a childhood that hurts, almost like mourning death itself, except what's being mourned is the loss of innocence.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that the goal is to complete the post-production of the short film in Argentina, merging Argentine artistic contribution with the magical Icelandic landscapes.
