A new Icelandic musical from Einar Benedikt Gröndal (text) and Márton Wirth (music) based on the ever popular classic by Eleanor H. Porter.
The sweet and optimistic character of the young girl Pollyanna is irresistible and one can’t avoid being infected in the most positive way by her bright and cheerful way of looking at the world. Seldom has there been a more appropriate and opportune time to set the story to music and theatre than right now, when the people of Iceland and all across Europe are so tired of the pandemic and lockdowns and are craving hope and good thoughts.
That’s what we would like to offer our fellow Icelanders, a musical theatre piece with elements of classical music, dance, choir, cheerful ragtimes, jazz and the atmosphere of a little town in the early 1900’s.
Please support the creation of our work, studio recordings of the songs, orchestration and arrangement of the 5 first performances in Iceland!
