Heyja Everyone!
My name is Fjóla Björk Jensdóttir. I am an icelandic artist, builder, an ayurvedic specialist, astrologer and somtimes almost a full time single mother.

I graduated in the year 2006 with a masters in ceramics arts and deeply desire to create a flow of creativity that allows me to get my hands moving again. During my studies I had a deep love affair with the old japanese yunomi form, which is a footed cup for the traditional japanese tea ceremony. I felt that while doing small charming forms of the cup I could do more textural and glaze experimentations which would allow me to really explore colors and the full range of the studio glazes at hand. I probably explored more than athousand different looks during my two year program at the wonderful university Maharishi University of Management.

Being home now, in a different country with both different equipment and materials I want to find a venue to explore the possibilities of the cup and other creative forms yet again and find a way to produce my designs and sell. I assure you it will be as interesting and fun as my first time around :)

I certainly have been working these last 10 years, exploring and maintaining my throwing skills, but feel like this is the time to get a production moving in a more sensible fashion. The balance of creating and selling needs to be established and with the help of everyone of you guys, friends and fellow art lovers, I am hopeful this can done.
