Join Veiga on an unbelievable story of tenacity and courage to become the world´s first to paddle anti-clockwise and ´Against the Current´ around the coastline ofIceland. Bordering the arctic circle, the 2,000 km journey is equivalent to climbing K2.

Her personal journey is no less remarkable. Veiga was born in the remote Westfjords of Iceland, assigned male at birth, she was married as a man with two children. The resultant internal strife led to two attempted suicides. But she made it through hell and back.

A dual-narrative that weaves together into a story of perseverance and becoming, framed against the mythical backdrop of the Icelandic coastline we find an individual triumphing over their circumstance.
