The story behind Líkami minn er veikur (My body is ill).
At the age of 4, Arndís Petra, got diagnosed with acute leukemia.
Her mother, Elín Berglind, originally wrote this story to help her little girl through chemotherapy. She then got her friend, Ninna to illustrate it, to help the story come alive. The project grew and became this beautiful little children book.
The aim with this book is to help other children that find themselves or somebody around them in this situation. It's a simple way to start a dialogue between a grownup and a child.
By publishing and selling this book we hope to help and support the foundation SKB - Children with Cancer in Iceland.
