About Aren't You That Girl...?

The idea behind Aren’t you that girl…? was born while reading an article written by a girl who was sexually abused on the internet. After reading that the lyrics of the title song came to life and after that, the theme of the album. On this album we follow a girl through a rocky part of her life. The good times and the bad. The dark days and the bright ones. The nice thoughts and the worst ones. We follow her through this all to see if she can make it out ok with all that she’s been through.

With relation to the lyric theme of the album, which is very much related to domestic violence, we would like to link this album release and this funding to something positive. Therefore we would like to support Kvennaathvarfið with this funding as well.
Kvennaathvarfið is there for women and children which have suffered domestic violence and are not able to live in their own homes because of violence.
If a woman has suffered domestic abuse, psychological and/or physical, she can at any time seek shelter in Kvennaathvarfið (a safe shelter for women and children) for herself and her children.
