Good things take time

Over the last two years the team at Pure Natura has been working day and night to develop the companies first products. It all began when one of the founders Hildur Magnúsdóttir attended a seminar for women, held by another of Pure Naturas founders, Sigridur Ævarsdóttir. At the seminar Sigridur talked about the importance of hormonal balance in women and the important role nutrition plays in supporting that balance. Sigridur also emphasized that all around us, from the food and supplements that we eat to the beauty products we use, there are chemicals to be found that risk this hormonal balance, so important to women (and of course to men as well).

Hildur and Sigga joined forces and in cooperation with Runa Kristin Sigurdardottir (Now Pure Naturas VP of sales and marketing) and the investor Halldor Gunnlaugsson and in 2015 Pure Natura was founded.

Icelandic ingredients- a different kind of PURE

Iceland is one of the purest country in the world and the Icelandic lamb is almost like a wild game, roaming free in the Icelandic mountains from birth without ever being exposed to antibiotics, pesticides, GMO altered corn or anything other that some might consider to spoil the goodness of the meat. Liver, heart and glands are some of the most nutritious food you can find, but somehow despite of that fact, consumption of this nutritious food has declined last decades.

Many of the Icelandic wild herbs that Pure Natura uses in its products have been known for centuries for their benefits as medical herbs. All herbs are handpicked and carefully selected in Pure Natura´s production. For further reading on the herbs, go to Pure Naturas webpage www.purenatura.is

Vitamin and minerals should come from food not from synthetic chemicals

Pure Natura produces encapsulated food supplement from dried and grounded glands, organs and wild herbs - an additional nutrition for people who want to take advantage of the nutrients found in nature. Our first products include:

Financing and production

All financing has come from private funding and from official competition grants such as Innovation center Iceland, The regional development fund in North west Iceland and The ministry of Industry and Innovation.

In September 2015 the company Pure Natura ehf was founded. The research and development of four of our products are now finished and we are so excited to introduce them to you. Pure Natura needs to fund at least 12000 Euros to be able to buy ingredients to make the first batch. The company was only able to get loans to finance the machinery and grants for the R and D so we would therefore be endlessly thankful if you could contribute to the making of the purest wholefood supplement products on the market. By doing so you would also contribute to strengthening a community (rural region) in Iceland and the value creation of products made from Icelandic lamb by-products, that hopefully will help with the sustainability of the Icelandic farmers, which have been struggling over the last few years.
