Agusta Jonsdottir

Ágústa Þóra Jónsdóttir is the founder of the Icelandic knitting company Gústa ehf. or Gústaknitting. Before that she worked as business developer in international Pharma and Biotech for many years. Since 2014 she has changed her focus and works full time with knitting and knitting design. Gustaknitting produces the Mosa mjúkull yarn which is a unique blend of Icelandic wool and alpaca, making the Icelandic wool more wearable. One of the best sellers of the company is the knitting packaage 3 make me.

Ágústa Þóra Jónsdóttir has already published three knitting books. The first book published by Salka forlag in 2009, Hlýjar hendur (Warm hands), was a great success and a best seller in Iceland and translated to Norwegian.

The second book Hlýjir fætur is co-authored with Benný Ósk Harðardóttir, was published by Salka forlag in 2011.

In 2017. Gústa ehf published the third knitting book made by Ágústa, Simple knits with Gústa, this book was partly financed with crowd funding from Karolinafund. The book is written in 5 languages, Icelandic, Norwegian, German , English and French.
